Welcome to my bit of the Purpleport world! I'm a bit of a photographic tart tbh - I shoot commercial work and commissions inc products, album covers, dance portfolios, corporate portraits, corporate events, lifestyle "stock" images, and weddings. This portfolio, though is all about my personal work (which is also varied!), and the production of prints for my online print shop: Luce Nuda - the Naked Light.

I've built up some great experience shooting models and dancers, mainly in a studio environment and increasingly on location. I am looking to do more on location, with a strong narrative (I'm collecting 1930's/40's props - I love the classic look of boudoir/erotic shots of that era). However still have plenty of new studio-based ideas, and there's always something new to try out - whether it's new lighting, effects, props etc

I love to get creative with the light and I really love a big production, cabaret, burlesque, and anything with some seriously moody light. Currently shooting a lot of creative nudes (call it erotic nude, fashion nude, fantasy, or just "art nude+" ) and I keep stumbling on new ways to light this either through testing and experimentation or just online in other people's portfolios! I hire models almost exclusively through PP for these projects.

Current themes that fire me up!:

Boris Vallejo/Julie Bell-inspired fantasy series, with dragons, wings, swords, etc.
Cyberpunk/Dark Future/Neo Noir style (Think Bladerunner/ BR 2049/ Altered Carbon).
Classic location-based sensual portraits - inspired by Vincent Peters' personal work

TF/Collab shoots:

I do shoot TF! If you think you can offer me something that fits with the themes above, or any of the common themes you see in my port, please do get in touch. Tuition

I offer 1:1 tuition for photographers who want to learn how I light and produce the images in my port. You will help build the set and the lighting, shoot with me and be involved with every aspect of the shoot, and I'll explain everything as we go, with the goal of enabling you to use the same process and understanding to set up, and dial-in the lighting for your own shoot. These sessions are tailored to you ( I don't want to waste time telling you things you already know): for a day's tuition, we'll agree 4 or 5 themes beforehand, and I'll take you through everything from rigging the lighting and set, through how I then adjust everything to arrive at the look I'm after, problem-solving, shooting and post-production. I typically record myself re-touching a shot from the session and make this available via YouTube, so you can see the rest of the process after the shoot is done. These sessions are very reasonably priced and include the model fee, studio/venue hire, lunch, and all the required equipment. You just need to bring your camera (or you can use one of mine). I also offer a half-day session too.

Workshops

This is a lower-cost way to learn from The Collective, still hands-on, with less shooting time, however, you get up to 3 more people to bounce off and get ideas from! We limit workshop sizes to a maximum of 4 people (and less than that if we'll be shooting in smaller rooms) so it is still an engaging environment. More people also allows for bigger and more interesting venues, and with 7 pairs of hands, we can move things around and get more done!
