I was fortunate to attend a themed photoshoot at Rawpics hosted by Rob and Melany.

The planning and attention to detail that Rob puts into his outfits was second to none and this definitely shows in the images I came away with.

Wow, wow and wow again. I have just come away from a brilliant and so enjoyable shoot with Retro Rob and M e l a n y at Inspire Studios, Salisbury.

I am so happy to have shot again with Rob - this time as a duo with M e l a n y, and what a duo they make. Together they are perfection and work in perfect harmony. The styles, class and their versatility is second to none.

I took the opportunity also to shoot Rob for a couple of images on his own, and the poses and style in that short time were like he had been planning those two minutes for weeks. It was perfection even with me hurrying him 😃.

As a duo, and Rob on his own always brings out the very best in my photography meaning that I walk away with so many fantastically beautiful images with so much style in each. Such a professional who is also such a gentleman and an absolute pleasure to work with.

What an amazing shoot and a what a memorable couple of hours giving me so many wonderful images.

This was my second shoot with Mel and Rob, this time at the Inspire studio for a retro, “Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers” shoot. Rob has amazing outfits perfect for the period and matching with Mel's outfits. Rob and Mel work in synchrony creating amazing dance shots that create the feel of the 1930's club and stage scene. Rob has brilliant looks to go with the range of his outfits from the dapper dance partner with top hat and cane to the gigolo/rake. He has a brilliant range of facial expressions and skills in mime to create amazing picture. Rob is a delight and interesting to work with and the time flashed by and I certainly look forward to a future shoot.

I recommend Rob most highly to all photographers.

Vintage Photography

I have wanted to shoot with Rob for a long time, and which vintage style fan wouldn't after seeing all the wonderful images on his portfolio. This was a duo shoot with Rob and Melany in a "Fred and Ginger" style, and they have a great understanding of the genre and how to move around each other. Rob has a charisma that really suits the parts he plays, and his clothing choices were perfect for the roles. He also brings some props that work well. Add to that some classic poses and superb facial expressions and he is so easy to work with.

Having had Rob for his so studio days a few weeks ago he was back again for a duo day with Melany. What a pair they make, the chemistry they create for the camera is amazing. Rob as always goes that extra mile to make each and every photographer feel special with his Charisma and ability to work with them so well. His paint is brilliant and again the attention to detail he puts into all his outfits are second to none. Can’t wait to see him back!

Rob and I hosted a studio day at Inspire Studio with our latest theme "Fred & Ginger". As always Rob took the lead on the styling before the day and also sourcing reference pics. Then on the day itself he provided his usual energy, enthusiasm and friendly attitude to ensure that the day went well.

All the photographers went home happy - having captured some great looks of us both and this was definitely due to Rob's hard work both before and on the day. He is such great company to be around and creates a thoroughly enjoyable atmosphere.

There is such authenticity and originally to his modelling - no other male model offers what Rob does. He travels on the train from London with cases of clothing and props - all carefully sourced. He has a film-star quality to his modelling providing expression and poses that are unrivalled.

Having Rob as my duo partner is a real honour and privilege that I never take for granted.

I can't wait for our next studio day at Rawpics where we will be launching two new looks including Bonne and Clyde and The Great Gatsby! Roll on 21 August!!

Two shoots in two days with the one and only Retro Rob at Inspire Studios, Salisbury, and what an amazing two shoots they were.

I’ve been lucky enough to have had a number of prior shoots with Rob - all fantastic, and all giving wonderful images. I don’t know how, but every shoot gets better and better - as do the images I come away with. You would never run out of ideas as Rob has such a varied wardrobe and achieves so many fantastic styles.

An enjoyable shoot is guaranteed with Rob - he has a wonderful personality and is so easy to get along with, as well as being 100% professional in attitude - he achieves perfection in his poses and aims for perfection with every image. What more could a photographer want?

If you’ve never shot with Retro Rob then I believe you are missing out. Absolutely recommended.

At last i had the chance to shoot with Rob at Inspire Studios and i have to say what a pleasure. Completely professional and prepared and also willing to take the risks i ask of when shooting. So many looks within such a short period of time...we could have probably shot all day. In my opinion one of the best models on here and if you have not shot many male models then you must shoot with Rob.

Great company...great attitude and superb posing.

Again Rob surpassed expectations for his 2 studios days at Inspire, he just blew everyone away, including me, with his shear brilliance at portraying a character. His attention to detail was yet again sublime and his ability to pose with perfection for the camera and lighting we set up is absolutely second to none! Rob is also the nicest, funniest and most charming model I've met and I'd call him a good friend now too! So pleased I managed to squeeze a quick shoot in with him this time around and can't wait for the return of Retro Rob on tour! You have to work with this gentleman is you are lucky enough to get the opportunity.

Good heavens! This is a dude I’ve wanted to shoot with for ages but our calendars never aligned until yesterday - I was able to grab to the last hours of Robs trip to Salisbury and Inspire Studios and it was awesome from the very get-go.

Rob is the very definition of suave and debonair - his attention to costume detail is unsurpassed (not even paralleled), and to top it is just the nicest bloke to boot.

He poses naturally with poise, takes the last bit of micro-direction brilliantly, brings ideas to the fore, and is such a natural showman that you could probably get away with point-and-click and still get great images - I’m glad we worked harder than that though ;-) Tbh I’d kind of lost my Hollywood mojo but Rob found it, gave it back to me and I’m raring for more!

Would I recommend Rob - yes, yes and yes! Its always a massive pleasure to shoot with Rob, he has such attention to detail with all his outfits and authenticity is his watchword. Yet again we had huge fun with all the sets, he is creative and keen for me to get the shots I want. I look forward to working with him again soon, thanks Rob - another great session

I had the pleasure of working with the legend that is Retro Rob during his studio day at Inspire Studio today. Retro Rob certainly lived up to his reputation for being a professional and flexible model with endless poses. We managed to shoot 4 totally different looks and Rob bought his own style to them all. He was well prepared and a joy to work with. We managed to share a laugh or two along the way whilst creating some great images.

I cannot add anything to all his references but he is a true gent and I totally recommend him. If you not already arranged a shoot with him, then what is stopping you? You will certainly not regret it.

WOW an amazing shoot with Retro Rob today with myself Em Louise Images & partner Priority Images.

Retro Rob came very well prepared with some awesome clothing, accessories & props for a country gentleman & gangster themed location shoot.

The 2 hours shoot flew by and even the weather was kind to us. Our Mercedes-Benz convertible was alsoused for our shoot today too.

We totally recommend Retro Rob he is such a gentleman, great fun to work with, very professional & his modelling poses are epic.

Looking forward to our next shoot which is in the planning stages.

Had our first shoot with Rob today and all I can say is that this man is an absolute legend. After chats on the phone and email comms we all knew what we wanted to achieve from the shoot. After meeting Rob at the station it was like chatting to an old friend (this guy is just so genuine) after not seeing them for ages. Em and myself had agreed with Rob to two styles and Rob smashed both out the park in his unique way. Time just went in a flash, but the sun even came out so Rob could have some shots done with the roof down on my car.

Future shoots have already been talked about.

Yes!! It was so brilliant to be working with Rob again post-lockdown, I had missed our days so much. This time we were at Far Forest Studio doing a Romancing the Stone themed event.

As always, Rob put so much thought and effort into the looks for the day and on the day itself he was enthusiastic as always, and worked really hard to ensure that the photographers all left with the shots that they want. He really goes the extra mile and is such a pleasure to shoot with

This was my first Female and Male shoot so i was going in to blind , but Mel And Rob were brillant with their help in getting the images . the shoot just flowed so two hours just flew by Melany and Rob are friendly and great company they make you feel that you known them for years

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Rob for the first time today at his themed duo shoot with Melany at Far Forest Studio. He is a great guy and a talented model who moves effortlessly between poses. During the two hours Rob provided four different looks all based on their "Romancing the Stone" theme. Together Rob and Mel are an excellent duo to shoot as they move effortlessly from pose to pose in perfect harmony. A very enjoyable way to spend a Saturday morning as we emerge from lockdown. Thank you for your efforts Rob in making this shoot happen, it was great to meet you and I hope we get the opportunity to shoot again in the future. Highly recommended!
