Where to start...

A shoot well over a year in the making!

Technically this was my second shoot with Josie but the first one was more a duo (two photographers) as part of a challenge. Since then, we've been trying to work together for ages and diaries never quite aligned. It finally happened.

I shot Josie at an awesome Airbnb location in Hereford. Not only did Josie come to my rescue at short notice after unforseen circumstances (a happy coincidence where she also had a cancellation)

I can honestly say I've never laughed so much on a shoot. It's as if I was working with a friend I'd known forever. Her personality is infectious. Oh and did I mention she's an excellent actress?

Me: "Josie can you pretend to be drunk in the lift?"

Josie: "Sure."

Kind of set the tone for the whole shoot really.

I can't recommend her enough. The back of camera looked epic as did the ones we managed to get on a bigger screen and I absolutely cannot wait to go through the images properly.

Although we've worked together several times, Josie brought as much freshness and enthusiasm to this shoot as all the others.

For our 1940s shoot she not only came perfectly styled but she also, as soon as she had her costume on, looked as if she belonged in a period drama.

Josie is capable of subtly showing a range of emotions which suits my headshot/ portrait style of photography.

Thank you, once again, Josie for working tirelessly to help me create the images I needed.

I selected Josie for a shoot because I knew from the last time we shot together that Josie could give a good expression in difficult circumstances. Last time was hanging off the studio ceiling this time was waist deep in cold water. She almost looks like she is enjoying herself.

Josie transformed herself into a 60s model for this photoshoot.

With minimum guidance from me she was able to improvise the look and role needed. Her ability to switch seamlessly between quirky fun expressions to more thoughtful emotive looks is a result of her acting ability.

In just 2 hours the range of images created is remarkable.

It is evident that Josie really enjoys her work as a model and this makes the whole experience so positive.

Delightful first solo shoot with Josie. We went to two locations. Firstly a ruined castle, then onto an old mill in some woods. Josie brought some outfits that were perfect for the shoot. She is great to work with and poses very naturally. She is also good fun and relaxed. It was a very pleasant few hours. Josie was on time and keen to please. Highly recommended

When I mentioned to a fellow photographer that I'd be working with Josie, their reaction was 'you'll enjoy that - she's bl**dy good and she's great fun'. And they were right.

Yesterday's location shoot with Josie was arranged at short notice, and thanks to her excellent communications we were able to do a lot of planning. That said, although the weather forecast was good we hadn't bargained for was just how hot is was going to be on shoot day. Nevertheless, Josie had a shed-load of energy and enthusiasm and she worked her proverbial socks off. I'm delighted with the results.

As for the 'she's great fun' comment by the other photographer, that was spot on. Josie has a sparkling personality and a great sense of humour - she really is a joy to work with.

Would I recommend Josie? Well - let's put it like this... I'll soon be nagging her for another shoot.

What could be a crazier idea than asking a model to wear layers of heavy black Victorian clothes......during a heatwave?

While I, and my photo equipment wilted, Josie wasn't fazed at all. Not one complaint was uttered. Instead she saw the humour in the whole situation.

Memories of un-British weather will fade, but I'll still have the great shots I needed, where Josie has gone above and beyond once again.

Once again Josie slipped seamlessly into a new time period.

On this occasion we time travelled back to the 1930s where she looked totally at home, as indeed with other eras we'd shot.

Josie doesn't just pose, she acts out a character which is a bonus for my images.

Josie was the model of choice for the Enchanted Evermore event.

Impeccable hair and make up, perfect model for the vibe of the shoot.

Josie worked tirelessly, in inclement weather conditions, she maintained a cheeky smile and total professionalism throughout. Every photographer on the workshop was impressed as I was with the beauty and work ethic coming across.

Josie enthusiasm was instrumental in creating an atmosphere of fun and creativity throughout the afternoon.

So pleased to get the chance to work with her, sure to do it again, 100% recommended.

Enchanted Evermore Styled Workshops

Josie modelled for one of our Taster Workshops “Through the Looking Glass”.

Josie is lovely to work with. She s beautiful and poses with expression. She has a great personality, is very sociable and she worked very well with all the photographers, taking direction very well and bringing their creative ideas to life.

We’ve seen some brilliant photos from the event and would love to have Josie again. Highly recommended!

I had the total pleasure of meeting and working with Josie on Sunday. Right from the first ‘hello’ she was very friendly, warm, outgoing and chatty.

Not only is she a beautiful person, she is also a hardworking, experienced model. Very expressive, poses well and enjoys a laugh between posing. Nothing was too much trouble for her and the whole shoot was fun and very productive.

After my first shoot with Josie I had high expectations for our second shoot. This latest shoot met all expectations and more.

As previously, Josie took on board ideas and developed them. She, again, researched the look I'd suggested and arrived with authentic hairstyle and makeup. I felt throughout that she was invested in the shoot. Her attention to detail made the shoot a success.

Additionally, Josie has an easy going but professional attitude and it made the experience positive and productive.

Our fist shoot since Lockdown 1 and Josie was still as positive and energetic as I remembered her, which was handy as we trudged up a hill on a somewhat crisp afternoon for one of my themes. Thankfully I remembered Josie's favourite...'green tea'.

Josie is a performer and this shines through when asked for an expression or look so, thankfully for me, requires little direction.

Hoping to work with her again soon...in a bit warmer weather!

I was pleased when Josie agreed to a themed photoshoot. She is versatile and was able to create the classical look that I needed.

Josie prepared for the shoot with her own research and arrived with immaculate make-up and hair style. She was enthusiastic throughout and her acting/ performance skills meant she was able to perfectly portray the mood required.

I would recommend Josie to all photographers 100%.

An Eye for Beauty

In the space of 4 hours, Josie walked on stilts, hung on aerial silks, swung on an aerial hoop, performed as the eponymous hero in 'Oliver', wore a couple of historic military uniforms, etc. In all these things she succeeded admirably - and was also a laugh a minute. What a fun shoot we have just had, and what great images lie there ready to be edited. I have worked with Josie a couple of times before and knew what to expect from her happy personality. I was not disappointed! If you want drama and performance then book Josie. She will grace at least two or three of my next photobooks. Thanks, Josie, and see you again.

Josie came to the studio to shoot with a very creative photographer, who certainly puts everything into a shoot .

This gives the model a huge amount of work and Josie just went straight into character without hesitation.

Josie is an amazing performer and model which is the perfect combination for any photographer, one minute she was walking around on stilts and the next she was dressed as Oliver Twist "Selling "Beautiful Roses"

There was never a moment that Josie did not put in a 110% to everything she was asked, which to me is a sign of a true professional.

Josie has an amazing character and a smile to die for, she is without doubt a real pleasure to work with and I hope to see her back at the studio very soon.
