My first shoot after a health break was with Johnathon and it was a real joy.

I felt instantly comfortable working with him and felt like we made a connection albeit miles apart.

We tried a mixture between conventional shots and things outside of the box and it was a real creative couple of hours.

Absolutely thrilled with the images and I hope this won't be our last remote shoot.

Highly recommended!

Thank you again

This was my second remote shoot with the lovely Jonathan! :D He basically inspired me to look at taking my remote gear with me on tours to enable access to cool venues for photographers further afield with whom I’d connected with during the remote extravaganza of the pandemic... What a genius! :) Jonathan actually contacted me off the back of another casting (local based) when I had some studio availability - he suggested a remote booking (which I wasn’t set up for at the time) so what we did instead was pre-planned this date and had another creatively-charged two hours working together whilst oceans were between us! The magic of remote!

Great communications meant that we had shoot number two planned and sorted in no time at all! Jonathan was also very flexible with his availability which helped me greatly in the further planning of my tour (since I wasn’t at home this time, hence it was a little more hectic for me).

As per: Jonathan was highly enthusiastic and heavily involved in what he was wanting to capture on the day. He’s very confident when it comes to communicating with the model/coming up with ideas... The biggest problem is not having enough time haha, it flew so quickly - just like our first shoot! The space in which we worked this time had gallons of natural light (anyone who has shot with Jonathan will know he lovessssss his natural light! 😛) and I mean there was floods of it! From all directions! This enabled us to shoot a range of things from statuesque shapes, bodyscapes and also floaty/dance-like movements with material. As I say; the biggest problem is the time going so quick as one idea always leads to another, which leads to another with Jonathan. He really does get in the zone. :) His artist background also shines through in the way he notices the light on the models and within the environment - big credit for this!

He’s a sweet person, very chatty and easy to strike a sociable and positive rapport with. I would gladly work with him again, and can certainly pass my recommendation on to other models who may be in discussions with him about a shoot!

Thank you so much once again Jonathan. :D

I had an insanely productive remote photoshoot recently with Jonathan. :D This was after we had been speaking for quite some time throughout the pandemic about the prospect of doing something “virtual” in the way of shooting (system etc. wasn’t in place at my end before now). One of the nicest things about working remotely is actually being able to stretch to the other side of the world in the click of a button; and still enable your fellow creative to put their own mark on the images they shoot. It’s pretty insane really - but in a brilliant way! :D Jonathan was thee perfect example of someone who gets stuck right in and uses these new resolutions tailored to his own creative vision and pursuit of art. He was a blessing to work with!

Communications from Jonathan before the shoot were swift and included good detail about what we would shoot on the day of our session. He was very accommodating to get all the admin side of stuff sorted out, and even with PayPal glitches - he chased them up very quickly to resolve the issue. A real star! This all meant that our session could focus on what we wanted to create (the fun arty stuff haha!) As it turned out: we had sooooo many wonderful concepts we wanted to execute and not enough time! :P But that’s okay because I would be 100% happy to shoot with this lovely gent again - and certainly recommend him to other models from my virtual experience of working together.

He was totally boss when it came to things like; lighting/composition and the general techie bits of remote shooting Vs. getting that image. He was interested in hearing from me whereabouts we could shoot based on the environment we had for this shoot (my home) but once we were there and set up for shooting - Jonathan gave good direction and explained clearly what he wanted to capture which enabled me to then translate through my pose and to the camera. I really like this kind of team-fuelled rapport where everyone contributes to mutually reach that end goal. In this case: stunning images! :D

We used natural light for part of the shoot, and then shifted to controlled lighting towards the latter end of our shoot. Jonathan was really relaxed and patient as I assembled things between shots - he entrusted me in stuffing the lights where was needed to get the right effect on the very specific shots (such as bodyscapes) and once again was his perfectionist self and gave feedback where we needed me or the camera moving to achieve the shot he had in mind. I mean - this is exactly what a shoot should be about right? The parties involved coming together and making magic in a harmonious and actively creative flow. :) 🤷‍♀️ Working remotely certainly doesn’t inhibit that - and Jonathan is genius enough to make every shoot count!

Also - a really amazing and warm character! :D We nattered (not sure if you guys use that word much Jonathan? :P) about virtually EVERYTHING from dialects and across-the-pond quirks to everything artsy you could think about! He is extremely passionate about art and creativity making him one helluva cool person to engage with. On top on the fun vibe we had mind you - I also felt happy, valued as a model and respected by Jonathan. He kindly gave his permission to share the photos at the end of the shoot - but every time I look it’s like “which one to post!?” 😃

Thank you sooooo much for such a class shoot. That’s all I have to say. :)

Woo hoo, accomplishments and achievements to remote shooting from Bath to Chicago :)

First remote shoot and was such a cool experience. I was a little worried because everything is digital and something can happen and all go wrong. Patience and laughs from both sides and we got there in the end. Jonathan was lovely to shoot with and great to chat with. Not everyday you get to speak to someone from more than 5000 miles away. It's lovely what you can do with technology even during lockdown. I found this a rewarding experience and I hope this isn't the last with Jonathan. He is very respectful and I felt at ease shooting. Maybe we can shoot together really soon. If you get the chance to shoot remotely with Jonathan take it open arms as it was really worth it. I recommend him 100% to fellow models alike, and I look forward to working again with him soon.

Thank you very much, Alicia :)
