I had just the most amazing 'Three Graces' shoot yesterday with models Jezebelle (sadly retiring next month), Larissa Angharada from Canada and Joy Draiki from the Netherlands, at their pre-Raphaelite themed event at AURA Studio.

I have for some years wanted to pay photographic homage to the sculpture by Antonio Canova’s, ‘The Three Graces’, daughters of Zeus - Euphrosyne, Aglaea and Thalia – who were said to represent youth/beauty (Thalia), mirth (Euphrosyne), and elegance (Aglaea).

There are a number of modern versions of this sculpture, and my photograph is our collaborative view, rather than a replication, especially as the models have very long hair which was left trailing, rather than tied in a bun as in the original sculpture.

Huge thanks to all three for such a fantastic time, and to Rob Simpson at Aura for his assistance with the Romanesque columns and lighting.
