I learned so much about the process of photographic modelling in our shoot; Fotostrobe is very clear about what he wants, and gives excellent direction, which is invaluable and gave so much confidence. He also made good use of the time we had.

He organised the shoot at a comfortable studio and brought a range of accessories to work with, as did I. We tried out a number of ideas, based both on prints he'd brought with him and pre-shoot comms.

I'd love to work with him again and have no hesitation in recommending him, though of course his stunning portfolio speaks very much for itself.

Travelled to London to work with this fantastic photographer.

We had been talking for so long about doing this shoot, so I am so happy and glad that we managed to get it in the book and finally create some amazing work.

Being a huge fan of the previous work in the portfolio, I was so excited to be working with such a visionary.

Great conversation before the shoot with a clear idea of the looks that we wanted, clear sheet ideas and concepts that we wanted to achieve.

Arrived at the location with very clear directions of where to go, we started working instantly with outfits I had brought with me (inspired from the work sheet we had to go with, as well as some ideas I brought to the table) and the work was so effortless & flowed so well, that it was sad when the time suddenly was up and our shoot was over. Could have worked for longer if we could.

I was allowed to get a glimpse at the photos as we went so we both saw the direction that we were going in. Was comfortable to work with, exchange ideas with, create new ideas on the day, and an absolute joy to talk to and get to know (professionally and socially)

I would highly recommend working with Fotostrobe, and can say without shadow of a doubt, that any photoshoot with Fotostrobe would be an incredible experience that you would NOT want to miss out on at all costs.

I haven’t shot with Fotostrobe for soooooo long! Too long in fact! Then with the pandemic - it had been a while since I had done some proper full tours of Bonnie Scotland; I was so delighted when I could get back up in complete adventure mode... But what was really lovely was the colossal local support I had from people willing to shoot with me/having that faith and booking a shoot. Fotostrobe literally invited me to come and shoot at his own home space and showed wonderful levels of support and confidence for our shoot. As such; we had a tremendous time both making stunningly artistic pictures, and chatting a LOT of course to catch up with all that’s happened since our paths last crossed! 😄

Fotostrobe was just brilliant from the early stages of setting up our shoot: his communications were second-to-non; he was very clear and informative in his emails which helped me that bit more in organising and embarking on my travels (it’s always quite an operation planning such a big tour like this so I’m forever grateful of well organised photographers!) 😊 On the day; he welcomed me to his place/his home studio with the nicest hospitality. He and his wife are such lovely people; and my teacup was never empty hehe! I had good vibes from very early on in my second shooting experience with Fotostrobe - obviously helped with me knowing how well we gelled before, but everything that he could of done this time around to make me welcome and comfortable; he did! 🙏 I have no end of positive things to say about his etiquette and approach to model photography; polite, full of respect, and a cheery character - all the things that make the all-round atmosphere on a shoot a good one. 🙂

Now I was seriously impressed with how well Fotostrobe utilised his space to create, essentially; a fully functional studio set! You would not think by looking at the pictures that we were anywhere other than a purposeful hired photography studio! He has everything off to a tee: from backgrounds to lighting... And knowing his space inside-and-out to know what is possible for both himself and the model. That’s innovative thinking right there before anything! 😃 From a technical aspect; Fotostrobe is a very good photographer. He prepared moodboards carefully for inspiration of the arty styles that he likes - then bounces off the model to create his own work with substantial care given to lighting properly in order to get beautiful tones and feeling to the pictures. He knows his stuff - but he isn’t afraid to listen to a models input either! In fact the whole shoot was an awesome effort of teamwork and mutually enthused flow. He’s tremendously easy to strike a prolific working rapport with, and this really does show in the quality work he produces.

So I can say with insane amounts of confidence: that I recommend Fotostrobe very highly indeed! ☺️ It was a joy teaming up with this very friendly gentleman once again - and I hope very much that we can do something else again in the future before too long!

And every shoot has been outstanding, from concept, themes and styles.

I know that whatever idea he has, it'll produce amazing photos.

We had a shoot this month and it was bloody fantastic. Fotostrobe always does a fantastic job providing a mood board of images he wants to achieve and we went to work very quickly. As it’s my third shoot with him, we went straight into it and went by very swiftly.

What a great first shoot with Fotostrobe. When i arrived he had transformed his sitting room into a shooting area for us. It was perfect really, just what we needed for the shots. He had also printed out a shoot plan with images as examples to show me what he was aiming for. We got through quite a few different looks, lighting set ups and themes. It was a really fun shoot for me to be involved in, its always fun to be a bit creative.

I had a wonderful time working with Fotostrobe yesterday. Given all the constraints due to the current pandemic, he was absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond to make sure that I felt safe and comfortable at all times. I loved the theme of our shoot and had a great time using my theatre background and knowledge of 1930s cabaret to channel a character (which is one of my favourite things to do on a shoot).

Fotostrobe is one of my very favourite Edinburgh photographers and I can't recommend him highly enough - particularly to all performers, as he really has a knack for bringing out your theatrical side! :)

I enjoyed my second shoot today with Fotostrobe doing some implied and art nude styles, socially distanced, outdoors in my garden. Another fabulous day and the weather was definitely on our side, a wonderful day for it.

Fotostrobe again arrived on time and his communications leading up to and during our shoot were excellent. We worked on various different set ups in my garden using backdrops and the surrounding look of the garden and adapted some variations from last time with a twist and I really enjoyed it. We had a terrific shoot and it just flew by so quickly. Fotostrobe gives wonderful direction but letting you put your own elements into the pose also and if he is looking for anything specific he will let you know. I absolutely loved what we created today and can't wait to see the finished results.

Such a warm and friendly person, a respectful gentleman and always making sure you are happy, warm enough and safe. Fotostrobe will show you the images he is getting throughout the session making you feel involved and allowing any room for adapting. Very experienced, professional, confident behind the camera and full of enthusiasm to capture something out of the box and story filled. Plus even with all his experience he is always looking to push, try new things and excel in his creative field.

Highly recommend to all creatives, do not miss out on the opportunity to work with Fotostrobe. He is a joy to work together with and spend time creating wonderful art.

It was a real joy meeting and working with Fotostrobe for the first time doing some implied, art nude and portrait styles, socially distanced, outdoors in my garden. We enjoyed a very productive shoot together with excellent results. Even with it being slightly damp and drizzly outside Fotostrobe was more than happy with the conditions and the sky was absolutely perfect with not to much sun.

Fotostrobe arrived on time and his communications leading up to and during our shoot were spot on. He is such a gentleman, professional, relaxed while shooting and very respectful, such a friendly and lovely person, we chatted away whilst shooting and the time just flew by. I loved his ideas and he was great at giving direction but also was happy for my poses to flow freely.

Always making sure I was safe and happy with everything and showing me from a distance the back of the camera images which can really help the model evaluate posing making it a more creative process and a much more productive shoot.

I highly recommend Fotostrobe to all creatives, do not miss out on the opportunity to work with him. A wonderful person and photographer with many creative ideas, very knowledgeable and just bursting with a passion to take beautiful, artistic and expressive art.

Had a really fantastic, enjoyable and informative morning working with Fotostrobe.

Very grateful to work with someone so knowledgeable and I always felt at ease with his calm and respectful nature.

He won't say it himself but clearly he really is a master of his craft and was kind enough to talk me through so many interesting aspects of our shoot and what he is looking for in order to create his art.

The world needs more like him and I am hopeful that we can work together again in the future.

I highly recommend jumping at the chance to work with him if you have the opportunity. An excellent experience all round and a genuinely lovely human being whom I am glad I could meet today.

I had another lovely shoot with Fotostrobe this morning at the apartment I have hired for my current tour of Scotland.

As usually he arrived promptly and came up with some fabulous ideas utilising the space and decor around the apartment. Fotostrobe is incredibly respectful and such a gentleman too, always making sure you take a rest in between sets and you are comfortable at all times. He makes sure to show you the back of the camera throughout the shoot so you can see what you're achieving and suggest improvements to your posing if necessary, which is always helpful and appreciated :)

As always we had a wonderful shoot, Fotostrobe is great company and incredibly kind and friendly too. We also got some wonderful images! Highly recommend and hope to see him again soon :)

I had a lovely shoot with Fotostrobe today.

He had contacted me a few days ago after expressing interest in doing a project based around the work of the Pre-raphaelites and naturally I was more than happy to oblige!

We had a short chat pre-shoot about our preferred artistic styles and bonded over the figure of the "strong, powerful woman" in 19th century art. The shoot itself was very fun and flew by really quickly! We narrowed all the many outfits I had down to a few key looks and took some gorgeously expressive portraits and mid-length shots.

Working with Fotostrobe was an absolute joy and I can't wait to work with him again! 100% recommend! :)

Second shoot with fotostrobe. It was just like we picked up where we left off, we were even shooting before we got into the studio. Fotostrobe is a really easy professional guy to work with, he has shots planned that he wants to cover and then there's opportunity to collaborate, try things out and create and play around with concepts.

I have no hesitation its collaborating again and again.

Very fortunate to have the opportunity to shoot again with Fotostrobe and I jumped at the chance to work with this talented photographer for a second time. This time we shot at The Factory which provided some interesting variety to complement the extensive shoot ideas we both had discussed to collaborate on. It was an extremely productive shoot and I feel a real artistic connection with him. Exacting with light I could already see some great images straight from the camera and I am really looking forward to seeing the finished results.
