I was booked for a retro-boudoir shoot with a really sweet model. Steve was very welcoming, considerate and friendly. The studio is fab, with a totally professional setup. There's a great room for prep; enough space for my large collection of hair products & makeup, plenty of power points, well lit and with the perfect chairs for prep work. I watched the first few sets of the shoot to check hair & makeup and Steve is clearly a highly skilled photographer. I'm really looking forward to seeing the images as I'm sure they're going to be amazing. I loved working with Steve at the studio and would highly recommend.

Wow... I cannot recommend this place enough! I was greeted in a warm welcoming way. I felt very relaxed, was shown where everything was. Steve took into consideration I was a bit poorly and told me we could stop shooting as soon as I thought I couldn't handle any more but I stood up to the task and got it done. I was offered refreshments upon arrival. Steve warmed the boudior room up so it wasn't chilly! I was very pleased with today, Steve directed me to get the full image to pop and had a laugh along with it too! I will definitely be returning and can't wait to see the final images!

I've worked at this studio on numerous occasions now, most recently today and on New Years Eve. Not only are the facilities terrific (two floors including a fully furnished boudoir) but Steve is so welcoming and always on hand to help out with technical issues; a great benefit for someone like myself who still has much to learn about studio lighting. Highly recommended. Thank you again xx

Had a shoot with Steve.

I have posted a review previously but it was deleted when my account downgraded.

Steve was warm, welcoming and extremely accommodating.

He was nothing other than a perfect gentleman.

The studio itself was impressive. With a wide array of scenes and props. And a fantastic boudoir set.

I had so much fun shooting with Steve and would do so again in a heart beat.

I highly recommend both Steve as a photographer and his studio

Had a wonderful second shoot with Steve. Extremely professional yet wonderfully friendly and great person in general . He is great at tweaking poses to get best shot and is very skilled at what he does. Lighting is spot on and he knows his stuff and more. Always feel at great ease and very comfortable during the shoot.

Different feel/mood to this shoot as very different look to my norm , producing some great shots. Time flew by but managed to squeeze everything in. Look forward to working with Steve again later in year on a new look and mood. Highly recommend working with Foto - Retro as you will not be disappointed, lovely studio and great photographer :)

Had a wonderful shoot with Steve. Studio is great one of the best I've worked in. Steve is friendly and very good to work with. His attention to detail creates amazing results. He introduced me to a great a great MUA Natalie Wood whom I also highly recommend !

Very professional but great fun, great flow to both aspects of the shoot , fitness and lingerie, time flew by.

Cannot recommend this guy and studio enough and so pleased I accepted Steves invite.

Looking forward to next time for what promises to result in some outstanding images :)

Another trip to Foto-Retro studios. Always a warm welcome here and a cup of tea to get started. Help readily on hand if you need it and a choice of two shooting areas with lots of options. If you can't create a good image here you can't create one anywhere. Highly recommended venue. Get shooting. :)

Steve is an absolute gent & a great host! He made me feel welcome as soon as I walked in :)

The studio is easy to find which is a big plus. The whole studio is high spec, airy, has natural light, very well equipped and it has one of the best boudoir rooms that I have ever seen in a studio.

I love definitely love to work here again :D x

I had my first shoot with Steve at his fantastic studio, he showed me around and it was great to have my own dressing room! steve is such a genuine, easy going person that made me feel completely comfortable and relaxed, he is both professional and productive, highly recommendable for beginners and advanced. I couldn't get over how quickly the time passed by but we got a nice selection of images. I am looking forward to some vintage collaboration with Steve and hope to arrange a shoot in the near future.Steve thanks for a great shoot and I'm really looking forward to seeing our images! I have known Steve for many years and first worked with him when I was first starting out modelling. We have worked a few times since, most recently at a Pipewell Hall group shoot. We worked on a variety of ideas, up to art nude. Steve understands what makes a great photo and helps with directing poses, as well as allowing me to pose myself. He is a lovely guy and has a great sense of humour, as well as being professional. I highly recommend him to other models and hope to work with him again soon :)

I had my first shoot with Steve on Sunday. And he was exceptional. During our preshoot communications he was efficient and clear on what he wanted from the shoot. Our ideas compliments each other which was a bonus. On the day, from right off the bat he made me feel comfortable and relaxed. The whole process was deliciously creative and fun but incredibly productive. Steve was a gentleman throughout and overall a great chap. Without a doubt I would recommend him and would love to work with him again in the future.

So I've known Steve for well over a year and had so many shoots I've lost count ! He is very accommodating, very welcoming and polite, his work is amazing as you can see from the results! His turn around time is fantastic , he is very helpful with ideas and is complimentary too. I feel very welcome and at home in the studio often Pop in for a cuppa! He makes a very good tea and always treats my two small munchkins with a bag of sweets! All rounded fab photographer higher recommended !

Today was my first shoot, so needless to say, I was a little apprehensive. However, within minutes, the nerves went as Steve managed to completely relax me. He made me laugh, put me at ease and worked with me every step of way - shooting to levels I was comfortable with.

In those three valuable hours, I have learnt a great deal, all thanks to Steve. Posing, breathing, shapes and looks! He is a true gent, and full of encouragement, whilst also helping out when things might not be working.

It was fun, I loved it and would definitely recommend him to others!! :)

Booked a half-day shoot at Foto-Retro yesterday, my first time there. Steve was very welcoming, and creates a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The studio setup is excellent, from the reception area to the spotlessly clean modern restroom, the models' dressing room, the downstairs shooting area, and especially the upstairs with its great natural light from two windows. The furnishings and decor work very well in what is an unusually shaped room with interesting character. Steve is very helpful, providing refreshments and help with the lighting when needed, but he leaves you to it the rest of the time. So I can highly recommend Foto-Retro studio - book it, you won't be disappointed.
