Well, our shooting time didn't exactly get off to the best of starts as my plane was struck by lightning, had to turn back and then was cancelled as the lightning caused a hole in the plane's roof! I did manage to get the next flight, though this caused a huge delay for my arrival to Groningen.

Roelf very kindly collected me from the train station at 23.20!

The next day, we shot in a forest and at his studio.

Roelf is a lovely, kind man and has a great sense of humour. He is full of ideas and enthusiasm for his work.

Roelf let me stay with him for two nights and I was made to feel very much at home.

I hope we get the chance to work together again in the future, thoroughly recommended :)

i had the absolute pleasure to work with Roelf for a two day shoot.

there is so much i want to say but i will be direct,

after Roelf had done all the hard work of arranging a shoot and travel and connection times, he collected me from the airport,

i have had a lot of pre communication with Roelf he was as great as he seemed via email, ect ect.

He is a true gent, polite and so much fun he is so kind hearted and full of terrific ideas

He is a very good friend now

has so many wonderful ideas

we definately were thinking and worked outside the box. and within it too,

I worked with Roelf from 24th-27th July. What to say about Roelf! Too many nice things!!!

I will try to get it into a few paragraphs! :) From first organising the shoot, communication was excellent, very organised and Roelf is a very kind, sensitive soul; extremely creative and passionate about photography, music and anything creative!

Roelf collected me from the Airport which is 2 hours drive for him (both ways, next time I will get the train tis a promise! ;) ) which I greatly appreciated. Thanks so much x Due to the weather we worked in the studio for the 2 days I was booked there- one of the days with a lovely friend of his (female model) and the second day I worked with Roelf at his studio. We had a blast!

Both days were very enjoyable for me, Roelf was very kind and bought me out for beautiful meals during my trip and made sure I was happy and comfortable. The company was excellent and I really enjoyed staying at his lovely home. I could have easily have stayed there a week or two. Roelf is great company and if you have the chance to shoot together then please do!

Extremely highly recommended, a really lovely man and I hope we work together again soon, not too far away in the future! Helen x

Working with Roelf is an absolute pleasure! He's fun, creative, very professional and respectful, he has a very big and beautiful studio and lots of ideas for location shoots!

Had a great shoot with Roelf on location and in the studio - we exchanged loads of ideas for some time before the shoot, and came up with some spontaneous ones on the day, felt very inspired creatively; he was professional throughout, as well as friendly, and made me feel comfortable / relaxed while shooting (a very good thing as I was mostly naked!). He welcomed input, which was nice, so it felt like a more collaborative process.

Will def be working together again in Winter, thanks Roelf.

I loved working with Roelf recently, along with Zoi and Ben Ernst at an old sugar factory in the Netherlands. It was a great location and a very enjoyable shoot! Roelf was very friendly and easy to get on with, and the day was organised with lots of ideas as well as plenty of breaks. Roelf had brought along a baroque-style dress for some interesting shots, and had plenty of moodboards but also welcomed input. I'd very happily work with him again! :-)
