I had my second shoot with Eric on my most recent trip to the Netherlands. We went for take two in The Box!!

The shoot was very easy to organise as Eric’s communications are always very efficient! Eric was SO helpful in planning my train journey - he made it as easy for me as possible to get to his nearest station then picked me up and dropped me off also!

I just love shooting with Eric ! I really enjoy his company - I enjoy his conversation and I enjoy his passion for what he does!

Whenever I shoot with Eric I feel like a real artist and this shoot was no different! We have wonderful inspiring music and Eric is SO passionate and SO enthusiastic! Even about things that the average photographer would not notice - like the placement of an ear for example, or the sweep of an arm! It is so wonderful how appreciative Eric is to his models work! He really notices movements and parts of poses that many others miss and it is really wonderful to have someone appreciate the finer details of your work - like how emotive you are or how you place your fingers.

After the Box we tried a few experimental things as well as some close up! I am very excited to see these as I know that Eric is a very technically knowledgeable person , as well as a true creative - so I am looking forward to seeing another part of his work with me in it! His lighting is always great and so are his captures and edits !

He always makes me smile and laugh on shoots - indeed one of my favourites! Highly recommended Shot 1541462400

I shot with Eric years ago! I'm from the UK but I was living in the Netherlands for 7 months.

I came back to revisit his port and was so incredibly confused by the lack of references and that I hadn't written one! So I just had to.

I remember my experience pretty well.

Eric is a true artist.. really thinks outside the box. (Pun unintended). I remember his home was full of his art, paintings aswell I believe.. I can't remember 100% on that but I do remember being mesmerised.

Our shoot was based around art nude, me posing in a human sized box he had built. They were built for Dutch ladies who are slightly taller than me (I'm welsh) but it all worked out. What I loved about this idea of his was that it challenged my modelling. My modelling style is big and expressive. In this, I was limited to my space and really had to bend in all different shapes. I enjoyed witnessing what my body was capable of and creating what I can describe as human abstract art. An abstract performance piece but also expressive and very moving.

I felt incredibly safe in his company. I enjoyed our time, he is very easy going and organised. He had a tripod and the lighting set up. The camera was set to a specific setting (which I understand may have taken some time and thought to figure out, it was very precise).

Overall, I would highly suggest working with Eric. Thankyou for this experience!

I shot with Erik now a few years ago but I still have a super pleasant memory of a kind person who knew how to put me at ease immediately and of a creative and purposeful photographer! :) Recommended !!

I had a last minuet cancellation on my recent holland tour and Eric came to my rescue as it were! He filled the slot ! There was no messing about in pre-comms and the shoot was organised in no time at all.

Eric was extremely helpful as he sent me very extensive instructions for my travel, which was very helpful for someone in Holland for the first time! Eric picked me up at the station! We had a lovely chat over a coffee before we started 🙂

I was very excited to get in the box ! Eric was very encouraging throughout as well as being very entertaining!! I enjoyed his conversation a lot ! I really enjoyed the way Eric works, giving only direction when needed - but maintaining a great energy throughout!

I felt very comfortable with Eric so felt confident when doing creative poses. He really helped me push myself and I enjoyed the shoot very much!!

Hope to work with Eric again! <|:-)

Eric is still my all time favourite professional acquaintance, my best photographer, a valued family friend. I'm continually astonished by the open-endedness of Eric's visual research into the shapes of the female body, and feel privileged to collaborate with him on a regular basis.

Eric is always a pleasure to work with - a bit of an eccentric (in the best way), funny, and extremely creative. He is so enthusiastic about interesting shapes, patterns and light plays and is prone to excited outbursts when everything comes together, which is a lot of fun! I modelled most recently for a studio day/tuition thing he led, which was very well organised, and previously for his own portfolio work, the results of which were included in his brilliant book 'The Box: a typology of poses in a confined space'. Recommended! (Plus, aside from all the talent, he and his wife have a wonderful selection of teas...) :-)
