What can I say about lovely Damien? There are so many words to describe him and his work, all of which are good! The first thing that comes to mind is that he’s an incredibly kind, passionate, positive and talented person!

I had worked with Damien yeeeeears ago in Spain and we had wanted to work together since then but it hadn’t been possible until last week when he came over to my home for a 3 hour shoot. The shoot flew by, we had so many laughs, but Damien still managed to get some beautiful images.

As you can see from his portfolio, Damien is an incredibly talented photographer and artist with years of experience and it really shows!

Please do shoot with Damien if you get the chance - he’s not only a very talented photographer and artist, he’s also a true gentleman with a heart of gold and a great sense of humour so you won’t only be in some very beautiful images but you’ll also have an absolute blast!

I booked Damien as the lead photographer for our wedding (alongside Dominika Wenz and two other very talented photographers (not members of Purpleport) in August 2021!

I have known Damien for many years and was forever in love with his stunning Film Noir portraiture work, I knew he was just the man I wished for, for our wedding! I had to beg him out of Wedding photography retirement and was so grateful he said yes! :)

Damien captured so many beautiful images from our big day and I am in debt to him for creating memories to last a life time. I particularly loved the images of our vows and coming out of the church smiling. He captured the Gothic architecture and atmosphere most beautifully and he is so capable, patient, confident and masterful at his craft.

He is also a natural with people and so professional whilst making everyone feel most comfortable.

Damiens retouching and editing is also beautiful and he is also an artist (is there anything the man can't do?! :) ) I have his gorgeous photos hanging in our hall forever.

I spent a full day shooting with Damien on my recent tour down south.

From the moment I arrived I felt completely at ease and relaxed, we had a coffee and looked through the mood board Damien had for our shoot together so we could make a rough plan. The whole day was super creative and I really enjoyed working with him, and from what I saw on the back of the camera the results were fab too :D

I really enjoyed Damiens company throughout the day and he looked after me incredibly well with plenty of breaks and a decent lunch break too. I would more than happily recommend Damien to others and really hope to work with him again in the future :)

Damien booked me for half a days shoot with two hilarious Lawyers/Photographers in training! The shoot was in Bristol, exploring the harbor side and I had such a lovely time! We were very fortunate with the weather which although was a little windy at times was beautiful!

Damien is such a pro, whilst equally being so charismatic, creative and FUN! His direction and use of light is second to none. I really enjoyed the day and look forward to seeing the results! I worked with the very talented Damien again at his stunning home on a singing & videography shoot recently and LOVED it from start to finish!

Its still something that is massively out of my comfort zone- and years ago I had such massive stage fright (even to sing in a studio). However working with Damien a couple of times has really improved my confidence and technique.

Damien created such a lovely space for me to shoot in and I greatly appreciated the advice and direction given. We also nipped out to the local woodland to film a small segment of the recording which was absolutely beautiful! The weather was perfect, over cast and held off with rain until the end! I would highly recommend Damien to every creative and am really grateful for the time and patience he has given me, I found the experience really invaluable.

I worked with the amazing Damien again recently at his stunning home & professional studio! He had very kindly booked a mutual MUA friend of ours, Claudia, who created such gorgeous Hair and Makeup looks over the course of the day. It was a real blend of talents and I found the day extremely enjoyable!! We experimented with a range of photography, videography and singing/recording!

I found it completely out of my comfort zone at times but this is something in which I aim for! I had an absolute blast and I wish that every single day was as creative as this was. I found the whole day very inspiring.

Damien is a complete machine and put a lot of effort and organisation into setting up the day and post editing, which was really appreciated. I absolutely loved the photographic and videographic results and can't work to work together again.

Hospitality at his beautiful studio was also second to none and we were treated to a lovely lunch. Thank You so much! Helen xx

I attended one of Damien's most excellent lighting workshops, where he was getting us to use continuous lighting. Fantastic. Our model was Karolina P from IMM, and the studio was The Hacienda, which is just off Brick Lane in Spitalfields, E1. This full day of tuition really opened my eyes to how a certain mood, created with a continuous light, can look more of a natural shot, rather than just using studio light. I will gladly sign up for the next such workshop.

I had another fab day shooting with Damien and his team on a Fuji GFX camera test day. As ever Damien was good fun to shoot with, super easy to chat with and is always good with his delegates. Damien has a real passion for his work and for the kit he uses, and is very conscientious in the way he talks to his delegates and the way in which he teaches them.

I always enjoy my shoot with Damien and hope there will be more opportunities in 2018.

I worked with the amazing, charming and talented Mr Lovegrove again yesterday on a very last minute shoot and had a fantastic time, as always! Damien kindly organised a location shoot with a stunning vintage car and two very enthusiastic photographers and the day flew by!

I had a great time working on such unique locations around Bristol. The day was full of beautiful photography, fun and banter (and chocolate cake) just my kind of day! Damien is one of my favourite photographers to work with- he is a master of photography and lighting, with a heart of gold. I did had an amazing shoot with Damien, (my second shoot, it's been a while) and had so much fun creating beautiful images and experimenting with different lighting etc. He was very accommodating, great with direction, provided a few outfits etc. He's clearly been in the industry for a while what with his experience and expertise, very professional.

So, I was lucky enough to book a shoot one afternoon with this fantastic photographer... And what can I say? Welcoming, charming, professional, accurate... What a day! He also enlisted the assistance of a wonderful MUA. After some styling, we set out the woods and, as I expected, he nailed the shots super fast... His turnaround on images was fantastic and they did not disappoint... I really hope I get the chance to work with this brilliant chap again in the future :-)

I recently had my first workshop with Damien and it was wonderful, all the delegates that were booked in clearly had great interest in the art of nudes and I felt comfortable throughout the course of the day. The workshop was a Lovegrove Nudes workshop, and i spent the majority of the day posing nude for Damien, and his delegates. I was always asked if everything was okay, and also checking i was okay with the ideas for shooting. Damien takes his work very seriously, but is also one of the most fun guys to be around., all of his delegates were laughing, easy to work with and extremely considerate. This was one of the best workshops i've been the model for, everything was in control, all of the photographers were a dream to work with and Damien's team were efficient, communicative and all round wonderful! I could not recommend Damien enough.
