References for Ben Lockett

Second time working with Ben has again been a pure pleasure. As we knew each others working styles a little better this time we managed to accumulate more ideas than we could possibly shoot in a day during pre-comms. Ben has a wealth of knowledge about fascinating locations and practical aspects of using them, as well as a lot of respect for nature. He was also extremely accommodating of my ideas, making sure that we both got what we wanted from our collaboration.

Throughout the tough working conditions (underground waterfalls, misty secluded rocks...) Ben was conscious of my comfort and well being and actually discouraged me from pushing myself too far and doing silly things in the name of art - even if that meant not getting any good shots in an amazing location. We still managed to get a few great shots, but more importantly I had lots of fun adventuring with him, and look forward to the next time.

Shot with Ben and Mark last night and have nothing but the highest recommendations and respect for everything they do - even in the freezing cold, difficult terrain and unforcast rain they are consistently professional, mind blowingly creative and lovely people to be around always checking i'm as warm as possible and handling the scrambling.

The shoot was a completely new challenge for me which I thoroughly enjoyed and really appreciated their clear explanations and direction helping me to understand their techniques and keeping us all on the same page for such a technical, specialised and potentially dangerous shoot. I was completely confident in their knowledge and skill of fire manipulation and safety in precious natural locations and really appreciated their "leave no trace" ethos. Absolutely blown away by the amazing effects they so organically create.

Ben's knowledge of locations and technical photography skills are reason enough for me to recommend him to any other fellow creative, along with his brilliantly original ideas, kind professionalism and incredible final images - you'd be very silly to miss any opportunity you get with him!

Can't wait to create and learn more :)

I had a great shoot with Ben and his friends. He was very helpful and accommodating when my train got delayed by almost three hours and after that initial slow start we went off exploring in the Peak District. I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere - the afternoon felt much more like an adventure with friends than any kind of work. Ben was bursting with ideas and offering locations and concepts, way too many than we had time to shoot in one day. We also improvised a lot, working with what the locations were offering and bouncing ideas off each other. The day passed before I realised and I was quite sad to have to leave, but I'm hoping to work with Ben again in the future!

I worked with Ben on a video shoot for, 'China Tanks', which was my first ever music video shoot. Ben knew exactly what scenes we needed to take and had a clear plan set out for each, he was professional and well equipped, and maintained a professional standard throughout. I can't wait to see the finished product! I look forward to one day working with Ben again soon.

If you get the opportunity to work with Ben then take it! He has got me some unique shots for my portfolio. To say he is new to the model side of photography he is awesome. We worked on many different sets to get what we both wanted. Would definitely recommend Ben. Thanks again :)

Worked together with Ben for several years now, Ben has a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm for photography and always brings plenty of ideas to the table, including wirewool and some difficult styles which require extensive knowledge in the field. Always a pleasure to work along side and easy to get along with! Look forward to more shoots together in future!
