References for Basford Hurst Cottage Photography Location

Leanne was good enough to arrange a studio day for me at her home in Staffordshire. The basford cottage was is like a hidden gem with an abundance of beauty and character. Rooms are large and grand and are immaculate in appearence.

The cottage , despite its size is warm and welcoming and i am over the moon i got an oppurtunity to shoot here.

Leanne was super accommodating and i was well looked after during my visit.

I would absolutley reccomend the studios as one of the top studios on this site, and that is in both its attraction to the models and the photographers looking to shoot there.

I hope i return and thankyou leanne and partner for your hosting.

Had a wonderful shoot with Ashley Ashton on Sunday, as usual Leanne and Simon were dream hosts, positive and friendly much needed drink chat and then onto the creative endeavours!

Basford is ideal for our hobby, lots of great locations inside, the outside is pretty good too, then the real star feature, an area of private woodland just the perfect size for a really contrasting set of pictures. Its well worth supporting how often does someone buy a property for our benefit!

Look forward to future visits and highly recommend this location :-)

My first of two visits in a week and as always its such a special place to come to, especially as I hadn't seen the garden improvements for a while.

AS always the cottage is kept immaculately with superb furnishings and no clutter hanging around the place, despite it being a full time residence. For this shoot we used the christmas decorated hall and the piano room, both of which were perfect for the images I had in mind (and especially posed for by the lovely Leanne).

One of the best photo locations in the country, its a huge credit to Leanne and Simon and we are all honoured to be able to shoot at this magtnificent site,

I had such a warm welcome from Leanne and Simon. We hit it off immediately and it felt like being with old friends.

The studio is just jawdropingly amazing.

Everything they have done to the cottage is to a high end specification.

All I can say is do not hesitate in booking this studio.

You will not be dissapointed.

I had my second visit to Basford Hurst this week, a second lovely warm welcome from Leanne and Simon and a second excellent shoot.

The studio officially opened in April this year and already has an impressive, and thoroughly deserved, 268 very positive references. It is a fabulous location with no end of possibilities for amazing images. Beautiful rooms, lovely natural light and everything done to a very high standard. I already have a third shoot booked for March but may very well return before then.

Don't hesitate, book a shoot. You'll be very glad that you did.

I've just had my second shoot at Basford and as before I was greeted with outstanding hospitality and support. You are always made to feel so welcome here.

I'm not sure what I can add to my first review. Basford is simply a brilliant location and has all the facilities you need to create stunning images. What more could you want? (be a little closer maybe :-D)

Leanne and Simon have certainly created a special place for us so reward them with lots of bookings and treat the place with respect so we can look forward to shooting there for years to come.

I had my photoshoot at Basford Hurst Cottage yesterday and I was very impressed with the whole cottage. There are so many opportunities available for any photographer who wants to shoot there. I had booked the Cottage all day and the time flew by. I was impressed by the amount of natural daylight that was available particularly for December even in the mid afternoon. Leanne and Simon are perfect guests who were very helpful in all respects. I will definitely be going there again next year. Thanks again for a wonderful and highly productive visit. Highly recommended.

Had a fabulous first photoshoot at Basford Hurst today. It is a location I have been interested in shooting in since it opened, and it definitely did not disappoint. Such a variety of fabulous spaces offering up an almost endless selection of opportunities. Even on what was a fairly dull December day the natural light in the property meant that the majority of my work was done with only natural light which is always good.

Pre-shoot communications were excellent including really helpful directions and they were equally wonderful during the shoot.

I have no hesitation in recommending Basford Hurst and am looking forward to future opportunities to work there.

A wonderful location with such big, bright and airy rooms, all with lots of character and great natural light.

Leanne and Simon were superb hosts and very welcoming. Great to talk to, and they were on hand if needed (like to hold blankets in the snow!).

Communications were excellent - full instructions were sent before the event, and I even got a call on the morning (checking everything was OK and to tell me the drive up to the property was impassable due to snow!)

Loved the rooms, and the garden was fab.

A brilliant few hours and I hope to come back soon. Thank you!

Had a great first photoshoot at Basford Hurst earlier this week - what a fabulous location!

Leanne and Simon are very welcoming hosts, had coffee and a tour on arrival, they were on hand if help needed but otherwise leave you to get on with your photoshoot.

Comms and booking the studio was quick and straightforward.

The cottage has so many options for where to shoot, numerous rooms, numerous spots in each room, large windows for natural light and they also have a great selection of lighting/modifiers if needed. A truly unique location.

The outdoor areas look lovely as well, sadly it was grey, raining and freezing during my visit so didn't get the chance make use of it.

All in all a great shoot at a great location, I look forward to working here again in the future.

Cannot recommend enough!

Leanne and her butler Simon 🤣 are the perfect hosts. Both were so accommodating and couldn’t do enough to make sure my event went well.

The whole day was a success is this stunning venue, I can’t wait to see what we created!

couple best described and "beautiful People" because they share their wonderous home with creatives from all walks of life and offer a great opportunity for artists to capture light in special ways! The hospitality and unique no nonsense attitude as managers make the studio work, many ways above the norm' in the U.K. and in my opinion make it a top venue to work and play in!...So it's a highly successful venue and long may it continue to be a great facility for years to come!...Can't praise it more than it is already!...( I mean in a short time it's achieved so much, So ticks all the boxes!) As Del boy would say "lovely jubbly!" 10+/10 highly recommended!

Second shoot at Basford this morning and I can only repeat all the good things everyone else is saying about it.

As always Leanne was super welcoming and couldn't do enough for us whilst shooting. Comms prior to shoot were excellent and very clear as usual. I feel pretty lucky having such a great location just up the road from me. I can't wait to go back.

I had my second shoot at Basford, as before it was incredibly easy to book in accommodating my planned shoot perfectly. Outstanding hospitality and support, brilliant location and facilities, what more could you want.

This time we went out into the woodland and spent most of our time outside shooting here, it is so easy to work there as it is a few steps from the house and has plenty of variety and features to work with.

Very highly recommended, get yourselves booked in!

Had a wonderful studio day at Basford Hurst Cottage!

The location itself is beautiful, with plenty of photographic options there for any style of shoot in mind.

They were kind enough to let me stay the day before and it really is such a beautiful place to stay, it felt like a countryside get away.

Leanne & Simon were a pleasure to be around & they made me feel very welcome & comfortable during my stay. They were both friendly, polite, easy going and very helpful the whole time I was there. They were both 100% professional at all times.

Another visit to Basfordhurst. A truely wonderful place to shoot, with so many possibilites. These include a brilliant wood panelled dining room with glorious table and chairs, a large drawing room with big windows at both ends, sumptuous bathroom with classy curvy bath, 3 acres of woodland, and so many other rooms i can't even remember them all !

The possibilites are far more than you could possibly shoot in a single visit.

in addition to this Leanne and Simon are welcoming and very helpful. Leanne supplies tea and biscuits, and if you're one of those people who are fueled by tea then this is invaluable.

This is surely one of the premier locations in the UK and I can't recommend it enough :)

The Apex Studio (Telford)

My 2nd visit to Basford to work with Model Evie which I decided to do last min, but comms were easy.

On arrival Simon greeted us with a big smile & gave us a little tour. We had a good chat whilst my model was getting ready & I was setting up, plenty of tea/coffee was on hand :)

The venue is great & we managed to shoot all the sets I had planned fo the day.

Highly recommended & look forward to another visit.
