Had an amazing shoot with Micheal he has to be one of the best togs I have worked with. Even though I arrived a little late we got straight to work he gave me some really good direction and with that we. Rested some amazing shots!! He welcomed my chaperone and put up with my bad dance moves 😂

I would definitely work with this guy again and would 1000% recommend him to anyone

What a great shoot!!

I had the pleasure to work with Michael last week at Image Red Studio. It was our first shoot together and hopefully not the last!

Professional photographer and lovely kind human being.

We started with some portraits, then moved to fashion/fashion art nude.

Great atmosphere while shooting, amazing choice of tunes, lots of fun and laughs all the way through.

Mike is a brilliant photographer! Professional, talented, passionate and creative. He is so good in playing with studio lights to get different effects, also he knows all the good angles and pose to get the best image. I saw few edits he did already and wow! the images are ace! Can’t wait to see more!

Absolutely recommended to any model and I am really much looking forward to shooting with him again sometime soon! Thank you for the great shoot Mike :)

So this was our first ever time shooting together, pre communication Absolutely brilliant!

I was pick up from the station and we headed to the studio I was made to feel completely at ease and comfortable as soon as we got there, banter started and we had a grate laugh!

Now how do I even start to tell you how amazing our image from the shoot are!!! This is definitely up there as my favourite shoot! And I cant recommend him as a photographer enough!! when he says he’s the best at what HE does believe him! I came away from this shoot a very happy model!!

I think the images speak for themselves…

We will most certainly be working together again!

Highly recommend too all models and would definitely say if your looking to start a portfolio or add to yours this would definitely be beneficial to you!!

Just had my first shoot with Mike!

Can’t believe I’m only 30mins away from his studio, and this is our first time working together.

WHAT A SHOOT!

Mike has a awesome studio space, and is a great host.

His lighting set ups are to die for, and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute.

I spent all of my time between shots in laughter. So much fun!

To top it off, Mike has the best playlist going, as I walked in to the studio with my favourite song playing?!

So so so glad we’ve now worked together.

I’m absolutely loving the results I’ve seen from the back of the camera and can’t wait to see what Mike does with them.

Super friendly, chatty, and so talented!

It was my second time working with Mike, with about 5 years between which is terrible! my fault though due to not being in the area but it was so nice to make a last minute shoot with him. He was as funny as i remember we basically just laughed all the wat through shooting. I really loved working with him because he showed me a few different lighting set ups that i had not tried before. I am in love with the images on the B.OC and the one he uploaded to PP. Michael responded to a casting I put out for this weekend and I am so pleased he did because shooting with him was a great experience all round! Meeting and working with him was an absolute delight from beginning to end. His pre-comms were excellent and from the moment I arrived he was friendly, chatty and really put me at ease.

He kindly picked me up from the station and we shot at the studio in Tamworth which is very well equipped with a large dressing room for models. Mike has some great ideas and provided a number of cool clothing pieces for our shoot. He offered me a coffee and we spent some time chatting so I got a feel for what photography means to Mike and his creative process. He really knows how to think outside of the box and create some awesome images.

Mike is professional but still relaxed, respectful, and an all round lovely person. He made me feel very comfortable throughout the shoot. By the end of the day I truly felt like I was working with a friend. He has a great taste in music and knows how to keep you laughing so there is never a dull moment! Not to mention, he is a wicked photographer with a brilliant understanding of lighting and I was very impressed with the shots he showed me from the back of the camera. The day really just flew by!

He comes highly recommended by me and I would absolutely work with him again in future.

Never did I meet someone literally so bonkers, yet cool and collected all in one! 😂 My crazy-o-meter went bust (which is saying something) but not because Mike bounces around the room with high voltage like a certain model lol... But because he was just more chilled than a [insert cheesy comparison of contents of a refrigerator or something - Mike would’ve had the answer with his sharp humour] but completely on the same wavelength as me and how my brain works. Which is just weird! Normally photographers need ten minutes just to come to terms with what on Earth they booked. 🤣

So this was my first “mini-tour” since all the madness of 2020 kicked off. It was exciting, at the same time as a feeling a bit “OMG, will I remember how to look after myself?” So I was really looking forward to meeting up with some awesome creatives around Brum/the surrounding areas just to know what it feels like to have a bit of normality back again. Mike applied to my casting and his comms were literally superb - I was being a pain in the butt because I was waiting on replies from various sources to coordinate my tour times and meet up times/avoiding double bookings etc. (Ahhhh the joys of touring, now I remember! :P) But Mikes patience was golden, and we had a full day booked in to look forward to at a studio I knew/was familiar with (ImageRed) so all was looking fandabidosy. :) I had actually met Mike before when I came to the studio for a previous booking as he was working in the office and often holds the fort for other creatives coming in and out/using the place, so it was nice to be semi-familiar... We just needed our own shoot! :D

On the morning of our shoot, I had done my usual self-motivation/bodily wake up for the day in throwing myself around the room with a workout and was running around like a mad-head upon arrival at the studio doing touch-ups and arranging my case ready for inspection if needed... Well a cuppa and a colossal chin-wag later, we was like: “shall we take some pictures?” Seriously: you will not find a more laid-back person on this planet than Mike! He wins gold silver and bronze for it! :P But it was actually quite nice to be able to natter/break the ice and I guess get a feel for the other person you’re teaming up with for the day. I’ve always said: no shoot you ever do will be the same as the last one you did or any time before that... You’re essentially collaborating what you can bring to the table with what the other person can bring, and what better way to create at atmosphere whereby you actually feel like you’ve worked with this person 6 times than Mikes approach and relaxed nature about the whole thing.

When we did get around to shootiness - oh boy, this guys bloody good! He just knows light, thinks outside the box, contributes with ideas and outfits... The flow that happened when we hit that studio wall was just like: “BOOM” He produced some terrific images, and is pretty darn savvy with his post processing too - some of the stuff he is able to do makes my brain melt haha!

But whilst Mike knows what makes a good image and assembles various sets/lighting setups that he wants to work with during a shoot: he massively involves the model in the imagination and “coming up with ideas” process. It’s largely going to be a highly united team effort if your work with Mike - take it from me that he really values what each model can bring in themselves. :)

To sum up - I don’t think I’ve laughed and nattered so much during a shoot throughout my entire career! Mike is most definitely the epitome of epic company for a day that is guaranteed to just fly! He’s a upbeat, high-spirited nutter who doesn’t take himself too seriously at all and somebody who I could imagine anybody developing an instant rapport with. He’s just that kind of person on a social level. :D Alas: he takes professionalism and good etiquette very seriously and the models happiness, comfort and feeling of safety is absolutely top on his priority list at all times.

Recommended - HELL YES!

I’d certainly be rushing to work with Mike again in the future. If he’s actually mad enough to have me back bahahaha. :P

I had a great spontaneous shoot with Mike the other week, mike is by far one of the most creative people I know, great sense of humour yet keeps a professional demeanour throughout. Mike is full of ideas and seems to make just about anything work, abit of an expert with the lights I have to admit, and an all round pleasure to be around and work with. Had fantastic Easter Sunday shooting at Image red with Mike. Mike was full of ideas, funny chatty but kept a professional demeanour throughout. Despite the shoot being a little spontaneous, we have created some truly amazing art. Pre-shoot comms were great too ,and Mike was even kind enough to give me a lift. Great guy. Great Shoot and great Images. highly recommended. i hope to work with Mike again, throughout the course of the year.

I shot with mike for the first time yesterday and really enjoyed our shoot.

Mike is very easy to get on with and makes you feel very comfortable, he is very attentive and always makes sure you are warm enough and is always asking if you need a drink which I thought was lovely :)
