I started taking serious photographs nearly 50 years ago with a Minolta twin-lens reflex camera. I even had tuition in studio portraiture with a professional – the photoflood lamps made everyone very hot! I had my own darkroom for processing b&w prints, but in time had to dispense with it. After the advent of colour film I used Pentax SLR cameras, concentrating on landscape, architecture and travel. I now work with a digital Samsung GX-1L which suits me well. 

Having retired, with more time by day, I decided to embark on model photography and renew my studio experience, so very different from when I began. I really enjoy working 1:1 with models to build up rapport and create something beautiful, while having lots of fun together. After two years, I realise I have had 66 shoots with 43 delightful girls. I have also discovered the mysteries of Photoshop Elements and now feel fairly at home with the process.  

I am a relaxed and courteous person, creative, highly organised, but with a great sense of fun: this is acknowledged in feed-back. Comments below suggest you will receive only kindness and respect from me. I like to be well prepared, so value plenty of interaction before the shoot takes place. To get the best from working together, it is important that we both feel confident and have similar expectations.  

I am available most weekdays for shoots. As I don’t have a studio, I rely on four good ones in the area, and occasionally travel to others. Now on limited income I have discovered this is a very expensive hobby! I am happy to help models enrich their portfolio for trade, but willing to pay reasonable fees. I usually give a selection of images as a bonus. 

I am always open to ideas, but you will see the levels with which I am most comfortable. I used to restrict my work to ‘implied’; but, with models I trust, now happy to do tasteful topless and modest nude. I will not do erotic or adult work, or anything disrespectful or degrading. I guess my ideal girl has the fresh and natural look rather than 'glam' or artificial, and I am perfectly happy to do just fashion and swimwear with someone at these levels. 

First and foremost I am looking for a pretty girl with whom I can create good portraits as well as figure studies. Interesting outfits are a plus. Most of all I want it to be a fun experience for both of us! If you are interested do make contact and discuss your ideas.
