A hands on photography workshop aimed at beginners...

PurplePort HQ are proud to announce our first ever mini-competition as a pre-cursor to the upcoming launch of our monthly one - and we have two fantastic prizes to give away.

Andrew Appleton in association with Village Studios in Bexley; is offering 2 lucky members of PurplePort the chance to attend his Basic Camera Familiarisation course worth £99 ea.

The course covers a variety of different topics designed to enhance your control over the camera in manual mode and to familiarise yourself with the basics of working in photoshoot conditions both on location and in the studio. Ideal for a photographer that is perhaps new to using a DSLR; unsure about moving from program mode to full manual or for a model / MUA that wishes to learn a bit more about the photography aspects of the trade to enhance their own skills. The course runs from 10am - 5pm on Saturday 28th Jan. with lunch provided and a maximum of 6 students on the course so plenty of hands on shooting.

Model

Andrew has lined up 22 year old, Maidstone based and full-time model Kate Errington. A stunning model with lots of experience and an impressive CV - a fantastic opportunity to work with a very talented model.

The competition will be open until 8pm GMT on Wednesday 25th January at which point Andrew will kindly select his favourite two answers to invite to attend the course.
