I've just read that Michael Schumacher has been seriously injured during skiing with his son.
As a big Shuey fan for many years, I'd just like to wish Him all the very best and hope he makes a full recovery very soon.

This looks serious:

I'm hoping it isn't.

I nearly killed myself off piste skiing because I wasn't wearing a helmet, good job he was wearing one...
All fingers and toes crossed and every bit of wood caressed to hope Michael pulls through, I know for certain that there will be a huge number of people all hoping the same.
Swelling in the brain will create all sorts of weird happenings, but he's in the best hands possible. I take it that keeping him a coma will slow the bruising and allow them time to reduce the pressure.
My heart goes out to his family, so many bad things seem to happen at this time of year and often to the best people.
Michael - please get well. :(
Ditto - I was gobsmacked... I was skiing in Meribel last week myself up to Friday which was an awesome day there. Big dump of fresh snow hence a lot of "off piste" skiing. A lad in our hotel broke his wrist Christmas day and there was a endless stream of peeps being processed in the local hospital in Moutiers where Michael was first taken.
Very sad news - he's critical at the moment :-(
As an F1 fan, I wish him all the best. Hoping his fitness will pull him through.
Update - a bit better - after another op - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-25558709
