It is indeed, we did a similar shoot there in April and everyone was really impressed which is why we organised another.

This looks interesting - date no good for me but perhaps next year if you are doing a repeat. But is there lighting equipment - I speak as someone with none? Is there a limit on the number of photographers/models? Are the different locations sorted or is it a free for all on the day? Interested to hear more.

Thanks for the queries guys and interest in a future opportunity. The date is set I'm afraid, so not going to change this time.

There is no lighting equipment there, it's not a photographic studio so everyone has to make their own arrangements. Some of the rooms have good natural light, but not all.  However, it's surprising what can be achieved with not much in the way of lighting - an extension cord for a flashgun or the ability to use it wireless can make a lot of difference.

There is a limit on the number of photographers, we limit it to 11 places (me plus 10 others). The idea is to strike a balance between enough to keep the cost to a reasonable level but not so many that we get in each others' way. That said, two photographers could share a place and work together which would reduce their individual cost. That might be worth considering, especially if you found someone willing to share who had some lighting equipment. Each photographer makes their own arrangements with models, so could bring more than one if they wished. Last time one guy brought two mdels, a couple brought assistant photographers and a couple brought MUAs.

We don't pre-book specific parts of the house, opinions were sought the first time and the majority were against the idea. Everyone was cooperative though and I wasn't aware of any squabbles.  By keeping the numbers down and being careful about who was selected the day went smoothly and everyone was satisfied.

I'm looking forward to this event, hoping the weather will be as nice as last time. :O)

Thanks very much for this info. I think this time (apart from the date being near my daughter's wedding) I don't have the experience (or equipment), but by next year ... I would certainly be interested next summer if you do it again. Please note me as an interested party.

Wish I could've made this one, I'll think of you when I'm shooting on a sunny beach in Madeira though ;P
